What is the process to finance a car?

The process to finance a car at KIPLIN Auto is simple and easy.  It starts with filling out an online application.

You can find the application on our website under get financed. Once you have completed the application please put the following documents together.

Copy of driver license,

Your last 2 paystubs,

and a copy of a utility bill or piece of mail.

Once we hang up, I will send you an email where you can send all of the documents.

What proof documents (STIPS) are required?

In order to get you approved you will need your 2 most recent paystubs if you are an employee.

If you are an independent contractor or you own your own business you will need your last 3 months bank statements.

You will also need a copy of your state ID or driver license and proof of residence, in the form of a utility bill or 2 pieces of mail no older than 30 days.

Do I need an appointment?

No. You do not need an appointment. Our operating hours are Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 8:00pm.

We would prefer that you schedule an appointment in advance so that we can give you the best possible service with zero wait time.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. We offer financing. There are multiple options available. From in-house financing, better known as buy here pay here, to 3rd party financing, which would include your local credit unions.

What credit score is needed?

We work with good credit, bad credit and no credit. We’ve helped customers with scores as low as 400 and up.

What is included in the total cost of the vehicle?

That is a great question.

Your cost of the car, taxes, title, registration and documentation fees.

If you are interested in a warranty, depending on the warranty your cost can increase by $20 to $30 per month.

What's your average monthly payment?

Depending on the cost of the vehicle, the interest and the term of the loan, the monthly payment can range between 350 and 500 per month.

Are there any dealer fees I should know about?

Yes. We do charge a document fee of $499.

What incentives or rebates are available?

Our incentives and rebates change each month. A sales consultant will contact you with the deal of the month.

Can you hold a vehicle for me?

Yes. We can  hold a vehicle for you with a deposit. Please ask your sales consultant for details.

What is the return policy or exchange policy?

All vehicles are sold As-Is but a 3rd party warranty is offered to all customers.

Our recommendation to all of our customers is that you consider buying a warranty.

Is a warranty included?

Warranties are provided by a 3rd party, which we can recommend but you have the option to decline.

Can I bring my own mechanic to inspect the car?

Absolutely. The only restriction is that you cannot bring the car to your mechanic, the mechanic must inspect the vehicle at our location.

What is the process for trade-ins if I owe money on the car?

In order trade in your vehicle when you still owe money on the car you will need to provide a 10-day payoff from your current lender.

Do you offer repair or maintenance services?

Depending on the warranty that you purchased, our 3rd party warranty company will recommend you to a preferred repair shop near you.

Do you provide loaner cars?

Yes. Loaner cars are offered on a 1st come 1st served basis and are not always available.

Will you help me with insurance coverage?

Yes. We have multiple relationships with insurance companies that can help you get insured.

What if I have a problem after purchase?

A deductible may be required if you have a warranty.

How do I contact customer support?

You can reach customer support by Phone during our normal working hours.

Do you offer vehicle delivery or home test drives?

We provide home test drives and delivery upon all approvals.

What are the hours of operation?

Do you have no money down options?

Yes. The no money down options are offered through 3rd party banks with the appropriate credit.

What's the average down payment?

The Average down payment depends on the vehicle and can range anywhere between 10% to 20% of the cost of the car.

How long are the contract terms for financing?

The length of term can range based on your approval.

Please speak to your finance manager for further details.

When do I get my tag?

It will take 30-45 days to get your hard tag depending on whether you live in NC or SC.

Can I test drive a vehicle?

Absolutely. As long as you have the appropriate documentation and promise not to crash our vehicle while on the test drive. That was a joke.

What is the documentation fee?

The documentation or DOC fee is a fee charged by every dealership to cover the cost of paperwork processing, such as contracting, sign-up for warranty or GAP insurance, issuance of temporary tag, and DMV registration of vehicle, which includes your hard tag.

How do I get my hard tag?

You can come into the dealership to pick up your tag during office hours or you may request to have it mailed for a fee of $25.

What is the process for trade-ins if I paid off my car?

In order to get you a quote on your vehicle we will need the make, model, VIN and miles.
